Mkushi
The farm
Our estate in Mkushi will grow the Group’s own crop from its first 2027/28 season. Our own team runs the season from seedbed to harvest. Control at the source is what keeps grades consistent.
Soyuz Tobacco Group · Zambia
A farm, a threshing plant and an export desk under one chain of custody — trading partner-sourced leaf today, and our own Mkushi crop from its first 2027/28 season. Built for leaf merchants, manufacturers and regional buyers who need a counterparty they can audit.

Figures refer to the Lilayi GLT line — commissioning 2028.
Vertical integration
Built so the leaf we sell is the leaf we grow. From the first 2027/28 crop — harvested from Q2 2028 and processed through Lilayi from its 2028 commissioning — every stage between field and vessel runs with our own teams: quality decisions never outsourced, every bale with a paper trail. Until then, the desk trades partner-sourced leaf under the same quality discipline.

Lilayi
At our green-leaf threshing (GLT) plant in Lilayi — commissioning 2028 — leaf will be graded, threshed, redried and packed for export. Processing in-house means your specification is met before the container is sealed.

Export sales
STT Trading is the single counterparty for every sale. One contract and one desk, with direct answers on availability, grades and shipment.
Quality & compliance
One estate, one plant, one exporter: from 2028 the chain of custody stays in-house from field to port, and the records travel with the leaf. Partner-sourced lots trade today with documented supplier provenance.
The Group’s employment model is direct hire for its farm and processing workforce — built out as the estate transfers (2026) and the plant commissions (2028) — structured to meet the agricultural labour practice requirements of multinational customers, including alignment with the Sustainable Tobacco Programme (STP). Documentation is available to buyers on request.
Procurement teams, banks, insurers and logistics partners can request our documentation pack: the signed ZDA agreement on tax and duty incentives, with ZEMA environmental clearance and Tobacco Board of Zambia licensing forming the statutory compliance frame. Licence and certificate numbers are listed here as they are issued.
Current availability
The Group’s own Mkushi crop arrives with the 2027/28 season — harvest from Q2 2028 — and fully integrated farm → GLT → export supply follows with the plant’s 2028 commissioning. When a season is fully committed, the next availability is the following harvest — the desk confirms volumes and grades on enquiry.
